BarCodes Data Collection
TransPerfect DataForce is currently carrying out a new Data Collection, the BarCodes Collection. The purpose of the study is to collect barcodes from pharmaceutical products and other products or devices related to healthcare to automatically develop and improve how medication and other tools are identified, dispensed, and administered.
Among the items that may have these codes are:
- Aluminum foils
- Blood bags
- Medical equipment
- Medicine boxes or bottles
- Metal tools
- Plastic or paper bags
We're offering up to $10 - $15 per approved video (depending on your location) you've taken of the bar codes, depending on the type of code you have. Each video is about 30 seconds long. You can use any device, capable of video-recording, at your disposal.
In order to participate, you need to have access to medication or other healthcare products that have special barcodes in them. The list of barcodes and what they look like can be found on the next page.
The results of this study may be used to develop and improve products and services, such as technologies and algorithms that operate on images, video, and/or depth data.
These could include machine learning, algorithms and other technologies for focusing, color, contrast, classification and recognition, image processing, and immersive multi-media.
